Made to measure footwear is made specifically to the measurements and contours of your feet.
Every client here at Tuttys has their own pair of lasts. This is the secret to our footwear fitting like nothing else.
Unique Lasts
The last is the name given to the mould that your footwear is made around. Your pair of lasts are created from the dimensions of your feet. We store your lasts at our workshop in Naas, to be used again in future pairs or if your footwear requires repair. Your last is adjusted over time to adapt to any changes in your feet. Every client at Tuttys has their own pair of lasts meaning no two pairs of shoes here are the same.
Personalised Style
When it comes to the design we begin with a blank page, with every element of the footwear being up for discussion. You will have a consultation with Michael Tutty and together you will discuss all the details of your made to measure footwear from the style, leather, heel height, sole type & finish. Using your pair of lasts we then create your own bespoke patterns.
Test Fit-on's
Once we have the footwear lasted, we invite you back to try on the footwear before we attach the sole. These "fit-on's" allow us to fine tune your footwear to ensure we achieve the best fit. Correct fitting footwear is a very personal feeling, our fit-on's allow us to achieve that perfect fit. We can perform multiple fittings to ensure you are satisfied.
Collection
The big day has arrived, and it is time for your final fitting. We will invite you back to fit and collect your footwear. You will walk out in your new footwear and begin clocking up the miles in your Tuttys Shoes.
